Exposure Games · Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
How we handle your information. The games run anonymously in your browser, with no account required.
Exposure Games (“Exposure Games,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a free, public resource operated by MyTherapy LLC, doing business as Bia (“Bia,” the “Company”) — the same company that operates the Bia phobia-recovery app at biajourney.com. Exposure Games and Bia are run by one company under one set of policies.
Exposure Games itself is an informational website. The interactive games on this site are provided by Bia and embedded here from biajourney.com. They run anonymously in your browser, require no account, and are not tied to your identity. If you choose to continue to Bia and create an account, Bia’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — which are this same company’s policies — also apply to your use of Bia.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you access or use Exposure Games, and how it is used. Please read it carefully. By using Exposure Games you agree to this Policy.
Our privacy-first approach
Exposure Games is designed to be used without an account and without giving us any personal details. You can read every guide and play every game anonymously. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the site, and the games do not require you to identify yourself.
Information collected
Information you actively provide
The Exposure Games website does not ask you to fill in forms or create an account. What you do inside an embedded game is processed by Bia to run the game and show your on-screen result. It is anonymous and is not linked to your name or contact details. If you separately contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
Anonymous results and usage analytics
To understand how the games are used and to improve them, Bia may record anonymous results from the embedded games (for example, that a game was completed). These entries are tagged as originating from Exposure Games, are aggregated for analysis, and are not linked to your identity. We use this only to measure and improve the service.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, when you visit Exposure Games our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used for security, reliability, and aggregate, anonymized usage statistics.
Cookies and local storage
Exposure Games sets no cookies of its own. It uses a small amount of browser local storage — the days on which you finished a daily game, under the key egDailyDays, so the site can show your streak. That never leaves your device. The embedded Bia games may set their own cookies or storage needed to run. For full details, see our Cookie Policy. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
Third-party services
To deliver this site we rely on a small number of third parties, which may receive your IP address as a normal part of serving content to you:
- Bia (MyTherapy LLC) — provides and hosts the embedded games.
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc. / Microsoft) — hosts and serves the website.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Linked third-party sites are outside our control; we encourage you to review their policies.
How information is used
- To operate, maintain, and secure the website and the embedded games.
- To run an embedded game and show its on-screen result.
- To produce aggregated, anonymized analytics so we can understand usage and improve the games.
- To respond to you if you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process information on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service; to perform any service you request; and, where required, with your consent (which you may withdraw at any time).
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because the games are anonymous, we are often unable to identify data as belonging to a particular individual, but we will honor valid requests to the extent we can. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@biajourney.com.
Your rights (California – CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of any “sale” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Exercising your rights will not result in different pricing or a lower quality of service. To make a request, contact us at support@biajourney.com.
Data security
We and our providers apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Bia’s systems are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and any transmission of data is at your own risk.
Children
In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Exposure Games is intended for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian should manage any use by a child. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@biajourney.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Your continued use of Exposure Games after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
